Bowens Mill once again proved to be a great event and in doing so has ended our official reenacting season. Saturdays battle proved to be victorious for the First as we led the way through the town and raised the Star and Stripes. In the evening we had a very good night battle and instead of the normal evening dance there was a very good candlelight tour with the hospital scene at the mill being the highlight. On Sunday we did battle again but this time did not do as well. During this battle there were no survivors. This was the first event of the year where there was no rain.
Upcoming Events
November 7-9 Light Infantry Drill Because of many requests from men in the rank and file, our next event at the Fort will be the 2008 version of the Light Infantry Drill. It will be held November 7-9. Like last year, this will be a chance for men of all ranks to work together to improve our drill, one of the cheapest ways to improve authenticity and unit pride. We hope you will join us for a very enjoyable weekend in early November! Will Eichler - Co-organizer Driving directions to Fort Wayne, Detroit, MI 48209 138 mi – about 2 hours 14 mins
